Condolence From: Larry Corrigan
Condolence: To Anne`s family and friends I was graced to know Anne as a church deacon and her ward councillor for the Township of Scugog since 1985. Returning from my annual summer retreat on Wolfe Island I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. She was a well respected community leader for those who are vulnerable and marginalized. She spoke her truth to power in church and community circles. She embodied the phrase, `the call of the Christian is to afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted. Thank you Anne and in your memory let us rededicate our efforts to help the most vulnerable and marginalized in our midst. To her family and friends my condolences Larry Corrigan Ward 1 Councillor Township of Scugog

Condolence From: Ron and Brenda Polster
Condolence: We don't know really where to begin, but Ron and I are clients of the food bank where we met Anne...she was one of God's Angels on earth we're sure...she had a heart of gold...Ron was one of her buddies who removed garbage bags that she would have ready to be taken to the depot and we always said that if there was anything we could do for her just to call...she treated people all the same...we were never left with an impression that because we needed help, that we were of lesser good, we were all as one...to her family, our thoughts and prayers are with you... Ron and Brenda

Condolence From: Belinda Espley
Condolence: Dear Margaret, Jack and Andrea, I was most shocked to learn of Anne's passing! Why it seems like only yesterday that we were over at your family home, learning how to bake, sew and decorate our rooms through the 4-H girls club that Anne lead. And before that, the 2nd Port Perry Girl Guides that Anne was involved with, teaching the girls how to tie knots, how to organize their camping expeditions, living the motto "Be Prepared". I was a Girl Guide, achieving my cords, then I became a leader, alongside Anne. With our weekly meetings, camping trips and community visits, I became fast friends with Anne. Her quick wit and dancing eyes, I will always remember her. I saw Anne, accompanied by Andrea in Toronto this past spring. I was on my way to a theatre production at the Princess of Wales theatre. The two of you were walking towards me, and as my brain tried to put name to face, it was too late. You were already by me and lost in the crowd. I was pleased to see the two of you, though, and it brought all of these wonderful memories back of my youth in Port Perry, where Anne was a very large part of my life. Take care of yourselves and each other. Belinda Espley & family
