Obituary of Jack Raymond Cook Sr.

(Veteran WW II, Former Chief of Scugog Fire Department, Past President and Long Time Member of the Port Perry Legion Branch #419) Peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Port Perry Place Nursing Home, at age 88. Jack Cook Sr. of Prince Albert, dearly loved husband of Mabel (nee Ferneley). Loved father of Jack Cook Jr. (deceased) and his wife Lucille (deceased), Marie and her husband Leo Donnelly of Port Perry, Leanne Cook of Blackstock, Lynn Cook of Prince Albert, and Robert Cook and his wife Heather of Blackstock. Loving grandfather of Adrian, Nicole, Tanner, and Kara and great grandfather of Randi Lynn, Liam, Aidan, Declan, Tavin and Tace. Jack is survived by his sisters Helen and her husband Bud Heard and Joan and her husband Ron Middleton and he will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family of Jack Cook Sr. will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, August 4th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to Celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 5th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dr. John Sullivan officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
